- Not all alcohol related deaths at college universities are related to alcohol overdose; many deaths are due to falls and other accidents that are reported to be associated with high consumption.
- Acute alcohol consumption, especially in combination with sugar, augments insulin secretion and causes temporary hypoglycemia.
